GameBreakers Responsible Play Policy
Version: 2026-10-17 Effective Date: 2026-10-17
1. Our Commitment
GameBreakers organizes skill-based, head-to-head competitions with entry fees and prizes, decided by your own performance in games you play. Even though outcomes are determined by skill rather than chance, entry fees are real money, and we apply responsible-play safeguards voluntarily because we believe that's the right way to run this kind of product.
2. Recognizing a Problem
Consider reaching out for support if you notice yourself: paying more in entry fees than you can comfortably afford to lose; chasing losses with larger entry fees; hiding your activity on GameBreakers from people close to you; feeling anxious, irritable, or preoccupied about an open Challenge; or using money intended for essential expenses to fund your wallet.
3. Tools Available in the App
- Self-exclusion: pause your own account for a period you choose. While self-excluded, you cannot create or accept Challenges or deposit funds; your existing wallet balance remains available to withdraw through standard processing. Configure this from Profile → Responsible Play.
- Daily deposit limit: set a maximum amount you can deposit in a rolling 24-hour period.
- Daily entry-fee limit: set a maximum total you can pay in entry fees in a rolling 24-hour period, on top of the platform's own daily limits.
- Cooling-off on raised limits: lowering (tightening) either limit takes effect immediately. Raising a limit, or removing it entirely, only takes effect after a 24-hour cooling-off period, so a limit can't be undone in the heat of the moment. Setting a lower limit during that period cancels the pending increase.
4. Age Restriction
You must be 18 or older to use GameBreakers, or older where your state sets a higher age for paid-entry contests (currently 19 in Alabama and Nebraska, and 21 in Iowa and Massachusetts). Age is confirmed from your government ID before you can withdraw. We do not knowingly permit anyone under the minimum age to hold an account.
5. Getting Help
If gaming, or competing for money, is causing harm to you or someone you know, free and confidential help is available (these are independent organizations, listed under their own names):
- National Problem Gambling Helpline: 1-800-522-4700 (call or text), 24/7, confidential — operated by the National Council on Problem Gambling.
- ncpgambling.org — screening tools, chat support, and links to state-specific resources.
- gamblersanonymous.org — peer support meetings.
6. What Self-Exclusion Does
When you self-exclude: your account is locked for the period you selected (or indefinitely, if you choose); pending Challenges you've already accepted are honored through to resolution, but you cannot create or accept new ones; deposits are disabled; and withdrawal of your existing balance remains available, subject to standard verification. You may extend a self-exclusion period at any time; shortening or ending it early requires contacting [email protected] and a short waiting period, so that self-exclusion remains a meaningful commitment rather than a one-click toggle.
7. A Note on "Skill-Based"
GameBreakers' Challenges are resolved by your own in-game performance, not by chance. That distinction matters for how these products are typically classified, but it does not remove the real financial risk of paying entry fees you can't afford to lose. Please play, and compete, responsibly.
